About VerdaNet
VerdaNet is a climate finance intelligence platform built by ROAR Foundation. Our mission is simple: to make international climate finance accessible to every developing country government, municipality, and NGO that needs it.
We document, organise, and make searchable 100+ international climate funds - from the Green Climate Fund to the GEF Small Grants Programme - so that the people who need funding the most can find it, understand it, and access it.
The Problem We Are Solving
Every year, billions of dollars in international climate finance go unclaimed. Not because the money isn't there - but because the governments and organisations that need it most face structural barriers:
- •They don't know which funds exist
- •They can't determine which funds they are eligible for
- •The application processes are too complex without expert guidance
- •Fund data is scattered across dozens of websites with no unified view
According to the NDC Partnership, 90% of developing country governments request climate finance support - but fewer than 20% successfully access what they need. VerdaNet exists to close that gap.
