When you create an account on VerdaNet, we collect your name, email address, and organisation details. When you submit an assessment request, we collect project information you provide. We also collect standard web analytics data including page views and browser information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve VerdaNet services, respond to your assessment requests with climate finance guidance, send you relevant updates about funds matching your profile (with your consent), and analyse platform usage to improve our fund database and user experience.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers with encryption at rest and in transit. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised ROAR Foundation personnel. We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share anonymised, aggregated platform usage statistics with funders and partners. Assessment request information is only shared with ROAR Foundation team members providing advisory support. We do not share your data with third-party advertisers.

5. Cookies

VerdaNet uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use analytics cookies to understand platform usage. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information. You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by contacting verdanet@theroar.ngo. We will respond to data requests within 30 days.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information as long as your account is active. Assessment request data is retained for platform improvement and reporting purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

VerdaNet is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or platform notification. Continued use of VerdaNet after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
